Evaluation Definition - Outcomes/Indicators

Return to Demo/Tutorial Contents Page

Outcomes/Indicators are computed or derived scores based upon Responses (and their associated values), other Outcome Scores, and Norm/Reference tables. Questions can be grouped in a variety of ways which are not limited by Section definitions. Outcome Scores can be based upon other Outcome Scores, Questions, or both. Outcome Scores be computed using:

  • Averages
  • Sums
  • Formulas
  • Norm/Reference Tables
  • Data Entered Values
  • External Routines

The Evaluation Outcomes/Indicators dialog provides a control center for working with the the scoring mechanisms for an Evaluation tool.

Note:

The Order Column is important because it controls the order of actual calculation. This is important when Outcome Scores depend upon other values from previously calculated scores.

Dialog Options:

  • The Add/Update/Copy/Delete options are used for basic maintenance of scoring rules.
  • The Items option is used to specify which question(s) and/or outcome(s) are averages, summed, etc.
